These pops are super easy and delish! Eating a full caramel apple is tough, so I love making these smaller versions that taste just as great!
What you’ll need:
+Melting Chocolate (white and milk chocolate)
+Toppings (I used sprinkles because I had them on hand, but nuts are great as well!)
+Thin cake pop sticks
+ziplock bags (sandwich size)
Step 1: Place a few pans on the stove at a low heat. (One pan will have the white chocolate, one the milk and the last the caramel.) Wash and cut apples into thick slices. (I got about 3-4 slices with each apple.)
Step 2: Dab each slice dry with a paper towel. Dip the end of your stick into the chocolate, and carefully stick it into the bottom of the apple about two inches deep. (the chocolate acts as an edible glue to stabilize the stick)
Once they all look like this you are ready to start dipping!
Step 3: Dip apple slices into the caramel and set each pop onto the wax paper until the caramel hardens. While it is hardening put the white and milk chocolate into two separate ziplock bags. Snip a tiny corner off each bag so that it will allow you to drizzle the chocolate onto the apple.
Step 4: Drizzle chocolate (in any order) over each apple. Before it dries, sprinkle your toppings over the apples so that they will adhere as the chocolate dries.
Allow to dry for a few minutes and the pops are done! I like to refrigerate mine for a few minutes before serving so that they apple has cooled off.
